Farewell Summer

The temperature has started to dip. It has slipped into the late 70s or 80s in the day. The earth is slowly and steadily moving away from the sun on its elliptical path. Today is Sunday, a bright crisp morning. The kids are playing in the garden and their shrill voices are blended with the industrial sound of the planes flying low are breaking the silence of my room.

I had a restless night. I was missing home. I am missing my mother. When I call everyday, she often fails to recognize me, or may be she does but cannot express it as before. Some days are better than the others. The days are passing by, the dates are changing too fast to grip hold of them. The life is on the elliptical path, moving away to the apehelion. From perihelion to apehelion we keep moving. We have to move constantly and evolve everyday. From summer blooms to sun downs. I have to keep drinking from the hues of life. I have to move from day to night.
